Med Surg RN – 3×12 Hour Shift Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Day shift, 3×12 hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00. Weekend availability is required with a total of 6 shifts in a 6-week period. Job Description The Med Surg RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This role involves direct patient care, management of complex medical conditions, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs. Manage care for patients undergoing bariatric and orthopedic surgeries. Perform wound care and manage surgical drains. Assist with high-flow nasal cannula and tracheostomy care. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Document all patient interactions and care in the Epic charting system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience is required. Current and valid RN license (Compact) is required.
