Registered Nurse – Surgical Med Surg Unit Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night Shift: 3×12-Hour (19:00 – 07:30) Job Description The Registered Nurse will provide care in a medical-surgical unit with a focus on surgical orthopedic, neurosurgery, general surgery, and urology. The nurse will be responsible for managing patient care and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal health outcomes for a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols. Monitor and assess patient conditions post-surgery. Effectively manage peripheral and central lines as well as IV administration. Provide wound care and manage surgical drains. Facilitate patient education regarding post-operative care and lifestyle changes. Utilize telemetry for monitoring patient vital signs and rhythms.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Active PA or Compact nursing license is required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical-surgical or surgical nursing environment.
