Registered Nurse – Level III NICU Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night shifts available: 3×12-hour shifts from 19:00 – 07:30. Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Level III NICU team. This role requires a strong background in neonatal care, specifically for critically ill neonates requiring advanced interventions.
Responsibilities Provide general NICU care including developmental care, patient/family teaching, and isolation precautions. Monitor and assess patients for any changes in condition and implement care plans as needed. Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products per protocol. Support breastfeeding and manage nutritional feeding plans including breast, bottle, and gavage feedings. Utilize advanced respiratory support techniques such as CPAP, HFNC, and ECMO.
Participate in sepsis workup and other critical care assessments and interventions. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of current Level III NICU experience. Active NJ or Compact nursing license required. Certifications: BLS, NRP; PALS preferred. Experience with ventilator management, IV starts, and neonatal dosing calculations.
