Neonatal Intensive Care Unit RN Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Day shift: 4×12 hours (07:00 – 19:30) Job Description We are seeking an experienced RN for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This 54-bed level III unit serves as a regional referral center for high-risk infants, specializing in very low birth weight preemies who require ventilatory support. The RN will work in a state-of-the-art unit providing critical care to neonates.
Responsibilities Provide high-level ongoing care to critically ill and extremely low birth weight infants. Monitor and manage ventilatory support for neonates requiring intensive care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services, to provide comprehensive care. Assist with high-risk deliveries and perform critical procedures including blood draws and central line care.
Educate families on care and developmental needs of neonates. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience as a permanent staff member with at least 3 years of NICU experience in a level III or IV setting.
