Operating Room Circulator Nurse – Travel Contract Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Evenings, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday * . Weekday call starts at 3 PM to 7 AM, with weekend call shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM. Job Description The Operating Room Circulator Nurse provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care across various surgical specialties within a Level III Trauma facility.
This role is essential for ensuring patient safety, maintaining regulatory compliance, and facilitating efficient surgical workflows. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage patient care throughout the intraoperative phase. Conduct patient assessments and serve as their advocate. Prepare for surgical cases and manage equipment and supply inventory. Document relevant patient information and handle specimens accurately.
Administer medications as required throughout surgical procedures. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical teams. Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and sterile technique standards. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure 2+ years of relevant nursing experience required. BLS certification required. ACLS certification preferred. Experience in General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Robotics, Urology, Hand Surgery, and Podiatry required.
