Registered Nurse – Operating Room Location Baltimore, Maryland Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Day shift, 5×8 hours (07:00 – 15:30), Monday through Friday. Job Description We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. The RN will be responsible for providing safe, age-appropriate care to a diverse patient population including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
The nursing staff in the Operating Room supports advanced technology, minimally invasive techniques, and evidence-based care. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring safety and quality. Function as a resource for patients and their families. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive surgical care. Assist in trauma and emergency surgeries, providing critical support based on established protocols.
Adhere to all safety standards including fire safety and infection control. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience required. Experience in a Level II trauma center is required; Level I trauma experience is preferred. Current Maryland or compact RN license is required upon submission. BLS certification is required; ACLS, NIH, and PALS certifications are preferred.
Completion of a 16-hour Maryland-approved trauma course within 27 weeks and 8 hours of annual trauma CEUs are mandatory. Why ARMStaffing? At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
