PACU Registered Nurse (RN) Location San Antonio, TX Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Sunday to Thursday, 2300 – 0730 Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PACU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic nursing team. This position requires working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, providing care to adult patients recovering from anesthesia.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PACU nursing and be capable of providing ICU-level care as needed. Responsibilities Monitor and manage patients’ post-anesthesia recovery, ensuring safety and comfort. Maintain stable patient conditions by assessing vital signs and administering medication as needed. Provide one-on-one care for patients during the initial recovery period, transitioning to a 2:1 ratio as patients stabilize.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement optimal patient care. Ensure compliance with established protocols and hospital policies during patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Must have at least 2 years of PACU experience. ICU level of care competency is required. ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
