PACU Registered Nurse – Rotating Days Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 3×12 hour shifts with rotating days and nights (07:30 – 20:00 and 19:30 – 08:00). Job Description We are seeking a skilled PACU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to patients recovering from surgical procedures. The PACU RN will be responsible for monitoring patients’ vitals, managing pain, and ensuring a smooth transition from surgery to recovery.
Applicants should possess experience in a variety of surgical settings. Responsibilities Monitor patient status and administer care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit. Provide immediate post-operative care, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Administer medications and manage pain relief effectively. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure effective patient recovery. Educate patients and their families about post-operative care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessment and care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience and 2 years of ICU experience required. MD state RN license is required. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH certifications are mandatory. Strong organizational and prioritization skills are essential. Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
