Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Progressive Care Location Asheville, NC Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM Job Description Join our Cardiovascular Progressive Care team, where you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients post-cardiac and vascular surgeries. Your expertise will help ensure a safe and efficient recovery process for our patients.
Responsibilities Provide nursing care for patients recovering from cardiovascular and vascular surgeries, including but not limited to CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, and thoracic surgeries. Monitor patient vitals and administer medications as per protocols. Manage epidurals, chest tubes, and tube feedings. Utilize various cardiac medications and monitor patient response. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Must have stepdown and telemetry experience. ACLS and BLS certifications are required. Preferred experience in CV surgery and vascular patient populations, along with CVICU experience. Why ARMStaffing?
