Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with 36 hours scheduled and 24 hours guaranteed weekly. Floating between campuses is required. Job Description The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit. Nurses are expected to work collaboratively with the healthcare team and participate in patient assessments and care planning.
Responsibilities Provide direct patient care and support in a Progressive Care Unit. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to healthcare team. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care and treatment plans. Document patient care accurately in accordance with facility policies. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 24 months of recent PCU experience.
Active RN license with no hits in the state of practice. Current certifications in BLS and ACLS from approved vendors. Driver’s license to verify residency. Travel experience is highly preferred.
