Surgical PCU Registered Nurse Schedule This position requires a night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working 36 hours per week with a minimum of 24 hours guaranteed. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work in a Surgical Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Candidates must be proficient and dedicated to providing excellent patient care in a surgical setting. You will be required to wear navy scrubs.
This role may involve working weekends and holidays, as well as floating to other departments according to guidelines. Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Surgical PCU. Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Document patient information and maintain clear communication with healthcare providers.
Demonstrate strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 24 months of recent PCU experience within the last 12 months. Active RN license with no hits on state license to practice. Life support certifications must be current and from AHA, ARC, or ASHI. A valid driver’s license to verify residency is required.
