Registered Nurse (RN) Location Olathe, KS Class/Area RN / PCU Scheduled Details 12-hour Night Shifts Schedule: 1900-0730 for 3 shifts per week Experience Requirements Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Critical Care/ICU or Emergency Department Strong critical thinking skills Experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and drawing labs Ability to work independently without a vascular access team Capable of calling on own consults and conducting own codes Experience with open-heart Day 2 or Day 3 patients with pacer wires Patient ratios of 3:1 to 4:1 License/Certification Requirements Current KS RN or Compact RN License BLS Certification ACLS Certification NIH Stroke Scale Certification Floating Requirements The RN may be expected to float to ICU and all inpatient units such as Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and ED, provided that they possess prior experience in these areas.
Weekend Requirements Every other weekend is required. Holiday Requirements RNs are expected to work one major holiday from each group: Thanksgiving Day or Black Friday Christmas Eve or Day New Year’s Eve or Day The management team is flexible as long as the RN works two of the three major holidays. Orientation Requirements Orientation will include: Attendance at the first two days of orientation Training specific to the unit on Days 3 and 4 Virtual training on the electronic medical record (EMR) system Additional Information This facility is a nicotine-free environment.
Non-billable 8-hour orientation period. Bi-weekly pay period. Client can cancel one shift per 2-week pay period at no cost to them and no pay to the employee with a minimum 2-hour notice.
