Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (RN) Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment, dealing with a variety of medical emergencies. Unit Information Unit: Emergency Department Number of Beds: 64 beds (includes 2 Triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 Trauma, 10 CDU, and 6 psych) Common Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure Age Groups Treated: Newborn, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatric Specialty Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun Shift Details Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed) Floating: Required Scrub Color: Navy Blue Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department nursing with pediatric experience.
Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (TNCC must be in hand). Valid driver’s license with an address that matches demographic information. Active RN license in NY and other states as applicable, verified through NURSYS Report. EMR experience required: EPIC.
