In addition, we support the Hepatic Arterial Infusion Pump program. Patient Populations: Surgical Oncology: Whipples, liver resections, Medical Oncology: Sarcoma, pain crisis, failure to thrive, end of life General Surgery: Esophagectomies, colon resections,   Bone Marrow Transplant: Chemotherapy, GVHD, pain crisis, failure to thrive, end of life  Gynecology Oncology, TAH BSO, lap hysterectomy, chemotherapy, brachytherapyRadiation Oncology: I-131, pheochromocytoma treatment General Oncology: End of life care, inpatient hospice.

Department Specific Working Conditions: Exposure to chemotherapy, radiation, and isolatable conditions are a risk of working on this unit. For this reason, staff are required to complete initial and annual education, and proof of competency to minimize risk.Required Qualifications Must have 1-year current adult acute care RN experience. Completion of chemotherapy/immunotherapy provider course within 6 months of hire.

Earn an average of 12 oncology related contact hours per year or hold a current cancer-specific certification  BSN Graduates: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) 30 days before start date.ADN Graduates: Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program 30 days before the start date.Associate degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hireCurrent, unencumbered Oregon State Registered Nurse LicenseBLS from AHA required.
