Cardiac Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift Location Not specified Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night shift: 3×12-hour (18:45 – 07:15) Job Description The Cardiac Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to patients on the cardiac floor, focusing on advanced cardiac telemetry and post-operative care. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, managing critical patients and executing care plans as per physicians’ orders.
Responsibilities Manage and monitor cardiac drips and ensure proper titration as needed. Provide care for patients recovering from various cardiac surgeries and procedures. Interpret and manage dysrhythmias with accurate assessments. Assist with sheath removal and chest tube management. Administer non-invasive airway management, including CPAP/BIPAP and nasal cannula. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
Complete necessary documentation and utilize EPIC for charting. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure A minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac floor is required. Travel experience is preferred unless the candidate has more than 24 months of cardiac experience. Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Preferred skills include arterial line management, wound care, and charge nurse experience.
