We are looking for a salaried doctor who can offer 4 sessions per week. We are able to offer flexibility of sessions/days of work and are happy to provide mentorship for newly qualified GPs or those returning to practice., Our GP sessions consist of a mix of telephone and face-to-face appointments with built in administration time and breaks. Appointments are a mix of pre-bookable and urgent on-the-day appointments.

The average session length is 4 hours and 10 minutes. We offer 6 weeks annual leave pro rata per year and one week of personal study leave pro rata per year. In additional to your personal study time, attendance at any in-house sessions or sessions arranged locally by the NCN/LHB will be facilitated. Access to the local NHS on-line learning portal will also be available for CPD learning opportunities.

Every effort will be made to assist the Salaried GP to prepare for their Appraisal., Responsibility for Staff: Supporting GP and Nursing colleagues and also providing leadership for sessional GPs, taking medical responsibility on shift Base: Vauxhall Surgery/Tutshill Branch Surgery Pay: Available on Application Sessions: 4 Sessions per week Purpose and General Responsibilities The successful candidate will provide high-quality primary medical care to our registered patient population through a mixture of routine and urgent clinical work.

They will work collaboratively with the clinicians and the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care. The role provides the opportunity to work autonomously whilst benefiting from the support of an experienced clinical and management team. We welcome GPs who are keen to develop their own areas of clinical interest and contribute to quality improvement and the ongoing development of practice services.

Main Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Duties Undertake routine and urgent GP consultations. Assess, diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions. Prescribe safely and appropriately in accordance with local and national guidance. Make appropriate referrals to secondary care and community services. Review pathology, radiology and other investigation results. Undertake home visits where clinically required.

Provide appropriate advice and support to patients and carers. Participate in safeguarding processes for children and vulnerable adults. Maintain accurate, clear and contemporaneous clinical records using EMIS Web. Participate in the practices arrangements for managing urgent and same-day patient care. Administrative Responsibilities Complete referrals, reports, correspondence and associated clinical administration.

Review and action laboratory and diagnostic results. Action workflow tasks within agreed timescales. Complete appropriate medical reports and documentation. Contribute to the effective management of the practices clinical workload. Quality and Governance Participate in clinical governance activities. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical audit. Comply with GMC standards and professional requirements.

Maintain up-to-date mandatory training, appraisal and revalidation requirements. Participate in Significant Event Analysis and practice learning activities. Contribute to the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality patient care. Team Working Work collaboratively with GP Partners, the ANP Partner, Salaried GPs, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Pharmacists and the wider multidisciplinary team.

Develop positive and effective working relationships with clinical, administrative and management colleagues. Contribute to team development and service improvement. Promote a supportive, respectful and inclusive working environment. Participate in practice meetings and discussions ns as appropriate.
