Blossom Health Gosport is looking to recruit a Salaried GP to cover 6 sessions per week. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our friendly forward-thinking practice in Gosport. Located on the ground floor of Gosport War Memorial Hospital and with a rapidly expanding list size of approximately 6100 patients our current practice team consists of 2 6 session salaried GP's, 2 prescribing ANP's, respiratory nurse, diabetes nurse, practice nurse, advanced HCA, trainee HCA and a phlebotomist all supported by our friendly reception and admin teams.Main duties of the job Undertake normal duties & responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Responsible for a personalised list and all of the administration associated with it., Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness Effective management of long-term conditions Provide counselling and health education Delivery of high quality and effective medical care Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible) Prescribe in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate Process administration in a timely manner including referrals, lab reports and other associated administration Appropriate experience of working in primary care Organised and efficient in record keeping & time management Ability to prioritise workload Clinical & Information Governance Self audit & reflection, Fully qualified GP with GMC registration On Medical Performers List Evidence of annual appraisal & revalidation Enhanced DBS check We have an excellent working relationship with our neighbouring practices via our PCN with access to Pharmacists & Pharmacy technicians, first contact practitioners, Health & wellbeing coaches and Social prescribers.
