The Sales & Partnerships team licenses content such as films, anime, and Asian dramas to a range of partners — including domestic and international streaming services and broadcasters — with the goal of maximizing revenue. For each title, the team designs the optimal distribution strategy (which countries, which timing, and which partners to deliver the content to), and is responsible end-to-end, from contract negotiation through revenue management.

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the team plays a central role in delivering the value of content to the market and establishing it as a viable business. The Licensing Sales role, within the Sales & Partnerships department (licensing sales), will be responsible for sales of the various rights associated with titles that the company produces and acquires — including domestic and international streaming, TV, and international merchandising — with the aim of maximizing sales and profit.

We expect this role to be split roughly 70% international anime sales and 30% domestic streaming sales (some adjustment is possible depending on the candidate's prior experience). Key Responsibilities Manage the sales budget  Develop and execute sales strategy  Identify, develop and expand relationships with partners  Negotiate terms and conditions (domestic and international)  Analyze sales performance and provide feedback to related departments  Analyze content and market knowledge, and market trends  Manage various materials related to content distribution  Participate in a variety of internal meetings    Qualifications Basic Requirements:   Experience in Japanese anime related licensing business Native-level fluency in Japanese and business-level proficiency in English (both written and spoken) are required.

Desired Characteristics:   Experience in content sales or acquisition, ideally in international sales.
