SEN Teaching Assistant – Swindon Full-Time, Long-Term & Supply Opportunities | Primary, Secondary & Specialist SEN Are you a caring and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in Swindon? Protocol Education is working with a range of primary, secondary and specialist SEN schools across Swindon , supporting pupils with a variety of additional learning needs.

We are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants who can provide consistent, positive and individualised support. About the Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils with: Autism and ADHD Communication and interaction needs Social, emotional and mental health needs Moderate learning difficulties Complex and additional needs Challenging behaviour You may provide 1:1 support, small-group interventions and classroom assistance , helping pupils access learning and develop their confidence, communication and independence.

Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND Help pupils access the curriculum and classroom activities Support communication, social and emotional development Follow individual learning and behaviour support strategies Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils Encourage independence and confidence Work closely with teachers and other support staff Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment Requirements Minimum 6 months' relevant UK experience working with children, young people or within an education/support setting Previous SEN/SEND experience is highly desirable Patient, resilient and compassionate approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Genuine interest in supporting children and young people with additional needs Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, but not essential Why Work with Protocol Education?
