We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them develop both academically and socially. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN. Assist children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and other learning difficulties.
Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised learning plans. Support pupils in developing confidence, independence, and social skills. Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing. Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff. Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. Requirements Essential Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, support work, or similar setting.
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional learning needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, resilient, and compassionate approach. Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff. Desirable Experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other SEN requirements. Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3). Knowledge of EHCPs and SEN support strategies.
