We are seeking a SENCo to champion inclusion, high expectations and achievement for SEN students throughout the school including those placed in onsite alternative provision. You will promote a positive ethos and will collaborate between the school, child and home to encourage both learning and social development. Work closely with the Director of SEN to ensure that all statutory requirements are fully and efficiently met.
Ensure that students with SEN are fully included in the life of the school, including extra-curricular activities. You will play a leading role in the implementation and realisation of the School Plan setting the highest possible expectations in all aspects of school life. You will need to be a good or outstanding teacher with at least 3 years' experience of teaching, who can successfully build, manage and communicate with their team.
An understanding of strategies that effectively meet the needs of learners with Special Educational Needs together with strategies to improve student progress and performance, including high standards in behaviour for learning are key.
