We are proud of our rich heritage and equally proud of our forward-looking approach, creating opportunities for children, young people and families to thrive. Education is one of Hammersmith & Fulham's greatest strengths. Our schools are among the highest performing in the country, with all maintained schools and academies inspected under the previous Ofsted framework judged Good or Outstanding, reflecting our unwavering commitment to excellence, inclusion and aspiration for every child.
Our schools, settings and partners work collaboratively to ensure children and young people achieve strong educational outcomes and are supported to reach their full potential. In our continuous pursuit of excellence, the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham is seeking an outstanding individual to join us as our SEND Reforms Programme Lead. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the next phase of our SEND improvement journey and drive the implementation of our ambitious SEND Strategy, building on the significant progress already made across the local area.
Ambitions for children and young people with SEND are central to our vision for the borough and are reflected in our strong manifesto commitments. We have made substantial investments in services, provision and support, ensuring that children and young people with SEND receive the right help at the right time and can participate fully in their communities. Most recently, our 2026 Area SEND Inspection recognised that children and young people with SEND in Hammersmith & Fulham are highly valued, visible and included.

The inspection found that most children and young people have their needs identified in a timely way and receive the right support at the right time, with multi-agency collaboration identified as a particular strength.
Hammersmith & Fulham continues to invest in and transform SEND services to identify and meet needs earlier, improve life chances and ensure children and young people can achieve their ambitions. While we are proud of what has been achieved, we are equally ambitious about what comes next. As SEND Reforms Programme Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping that future. You will bring strategic leadership, drive improvement programmes and build on the strong partnerships that exist across our schools, parent and carer forums, health services and social care.
You will help ensure that the voices of children, young people and families remain at the heart of everything we do. This role offers a unique platform to influence change across the local system, working with talented colleagues and partners to deliver outstanding outcomes for children and young people with SEND. You will lead critical workstreams, support innovation, and ensure that our reform programme delivers tangible improvements for families across the borough.
