Specializes and focuses on occupational health and safety. Provides specialized technical expertise and support for the elimination of hazards and prevention of injuries, program development, and performance tracking and reporting. Provides assistance to affiliate companies. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include coordinating/overseeing contractors and consultants. Interfaces with the appropriate regulatory agencies, minimizing corporate risks and public liabilities.
Develops Corporate compliance programs, including safety, industrial hygiene, and/or environmental procedures that minimize risks, specify appropriate personal protective equipment and safe work procedures. Serves as the Company's primary technical expert in the area of safety, industrial hygiene, and/or environmental matters. Conducts worker safety training both in house and in the field. Produces reports and enforces all regulations Leads Root Cause accident and incident investigations and provides executive level reports.
Prepares compliance reports, tracks regulations and standards, and participates in the Company's 24-hour emergency response program. Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Able to work independently, and exercise considerable judgment and decision-making.
Able to direct outside consultants and evaluate their progress. Strong training and organizational and negotiation skills.
