Senior Associate / Partner – Professional Discipline (Private Client Services) Location: Brighton Salary: To be discussed at enquiry Synergy Personnel Services, a specialist legal recruiter, is instructed on behalf of a leading UK professional services firm to recruit a Senior Associate or Partner into its growing Professional Discipline team within the Private Client division. This is a strategic senior appointment offering the opportunity to take a leading role in a specialist, high-value area of practice advising professionals facing regulatory scrutiny.

The Opportunity You will join an established and highly experienced team advising individuals, businesses and organisations on all aspects of professional discipline and regulatory matters. The practice focuses on representing professionals facing investigations, hearings and appeals before a wide range of regulatory bodies, where outcomes can have significant career, reputational and financial implications.

Work spans advisory and contentious matters, including regulatory compliance, reportable events and defence in professional conduct proceedings across sectors such as healthcare, finance, legal and other regulated professions. This role offers the opportunity to build and lead a regional practice in the Midlands, supported by a strong national platform and multidisciplinary Private Client offering.

Key Responsibilities Advising professionals on regulatory and disciplinary matters, including: Professional conduct investigations Regulatory compliance and advisory work Representation at hearings and tribunals Appeals and fitness to practise proceedings Handling reportable events and regulatory notifications Acting for a wide range of clients including individuals, insurers, businesses and professional bodies Developing and maintaining strong client relationships in a sensitive and often high-stakes environment Driving business development and contributing to the growth of the practice Supporting and mentoring junior team members The Candidate Senior Associate or Partner with strong experience in professional discipline / regulatory law Experience acting for professionals before regulatory bodies (e.g.

healthcare, financial or legal regulators) Strong advocacy or case management experience in contentious matters Commercially aware with a track record (or clear potential) in client development Able to operate autonomously while contributing to a collaborative national team The Firm Our client is a large, UK-wide professional services business with over 1,000 professionals and a strong national footprint, advising more than 10,000 clients across corporate and private client sectors.
