Join a high-performing technical team where you’ll play a key role in modernising cloud infrastructure, driving Kubernetes adoption, strengthening security and accelerating software delivery. WHAT YOU’LL DO Build, manage and optimise Microsoft Azure infrastructure Drive CI/CD, automation and release management Help build and migrate PayFast to Kubernetes Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Monitor environments using ELK/OpenSearch and log monitoring Troubleshoot complex Linux, server and application issues Manage firewalls, patching, security and incident response Support databases, configuration and build management Research and introduce new technologies and improvements Collaborate closely with Development, Testing and Operations teams Requirements Essential Technical Skills: Matric + Bachelor’s Degree — RHCE, ISO 27001 or PCI certifications are advantageous Strong Linux expertise across Linux-based operating systems Azure Cloud Infrastructure Certification – Must Have Docker & Kubernetes containerisation CI/CD Pipelines: Jenkins and/or GitLab CI Scripting & Development: Bash, Python, PHP, Perl, Java or Go Infrastructure as Code: Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef or SaltStack Web Servers: Apache, Nginx, PHP-FPM and Node.js Load Balancing technologies and environments NoSQL & Distributed Technologies: Redis, MongoDB, Pub/Sub and Key/Value stores Replication technologies Messaging & Queues: RabbitMQ / MQ What You’ll Be Responsible For Provide Level 1, 2 and 3 operational support across Azure environments, working closely with client engineering teams.
Design, develop and implement new Azure services, including technical documentation. Provide technical guidance, mentoring and skills transfer where required. Support the development and enhancement of security controls, policies and governance. Identify opportunities to improve processes, security, reliability and operational efficiency. Participate in after-hours or scheduled change activities when required.
Work as an on-premise resource, collaborating with remote engineering teams. Become an integral part of the team and remain flexible and hands-on across changing priorities. Take a proactive approach to continuous improvement, rather than simply reacting to incidents.
