Key Responsibilities Responsible for revenue and margin management including new authorization P&L, developing customer programs with sales input, executing and delivering volume within planned revenue and margin targets, overseeing underpayment management, and supporting Sales teams in executing pricing actions. Measures return on actual vs planned for sales programs. Develops and recommends trade promotion strategy, pricing, and distribution and promotion strategies.
Communicates and collaborates cross-functionally to execute strategies. Supports Annual Operations Planning (AOP) by providing volume and revenue history and developing volume and revenue plans. Conducts data analysis that informs annual financial and marketing plans. Responsible for developing account plans for trade spending. Conducts analysis to identify optimal product mix. Monitors pricing and programs within markets for legal issues.
Responsible for facilitating, developing, reviewing, and gaining consensus on forecasts. Identifies cause and resolves issues with Alert and Distressed products ad short-coded products. Monitors compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and forms (i.e. COB, SPC, etc.). Partners cross-functionally to review cost files, identify pricing action requirements, effectively manage ROS based on cost changes, develop estimates for new products, and look for cost improvement opportunities (i.e., Transportation, Product assortment, SKU rationalization, etc.).
Reviews, provides, and utilizes category management data to support sales team with data requests, evaluating syndicated data for trends and recommended corrective action, and to identify opportunity gaps in customer and competitive assortment. Assists in training sales in the use of syndicated data. Attends outside sales meetings to assist with pricing and interpretation of data. Presents market data and data-informed conclusions at sales meetings to ensure Sales team is informed with performance, opportunities, and threats in the marketplace.
Provides support for new products by developing sales estimates for target accounts/markets, account level marketing tools, sales presentations, and production forecasts. Delivers sales volumes and
