This is a rewarding and varied role where no two days are the same. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to each resident's individual needs and preferences. Act as a Key Worker for allocated residents, ensuring their care plans are implemented and reviewed effectively.
Safely administer medication and maintain accurate medication records in line with company procedures. Review, update and contribute to individual care plans to ensure residents receive the best possible support. Mentor, support and lead less experienced care team members, promoting best practice throughout the home. Monitor residents' physical and emotional wellbeing, reporting any changes promptly and maintaining accurate records.
Liaise effectively with healthcare professionals, relatives and colleagues to ensure continuity of care. Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and dignity for every resident. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control and all relevant legislation. Support residents with meals and hydration, providing assistance where required while promoting independence.
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment, including light housekeeping duties when needed. About You We're looking for someone who: Holds, or is working towards, an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent). Has previous experience working as a Care Assistant within a residential or nursing environment. Is confident administering medication and maintaining accurate records.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Enjoys mentoring and supporting colleagues. Demonstrates compassion, professionalism and attention to detail. Can work effectively as part of a busy team while remaining calm under pressure. Is, committed to delivering exceptional resident care every day, Working Pattern You will work on a permanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on followed by three consecutive shifts off.
