Job Description Note: This posting will close at 4pm on 09/16/2026. Position Title Senior Director, Office of Compliance and ADA Custom Job Purpose This position exists to perform responsible support the educational mission of the District by providing guidance and resources for developing cultural awareness, understanding and equity in the District. Essential Functions of this Job Provides innovative leadership for schools and departments, to work together to develop cultural awareness, understanding, and instructional methods and/or support for instruction and school operations to develop and implement equity and excellence standards and practices; researches and develops techniques and practices for staff to use to assess operations and instruction to eliminate the processes, attitudes, and behaviors which prevent students and families from receiving consistent, appropriate and high quality services.

Develops, directs, and is accountable for development of a district-wide program for training of staff, parents, community members and volunteers in area of assignment; researches and explores outside funding sources for the purpose of identifying funds for activities, training sessions, and materials designed to increase understanding and awareness of cultural differences for the purpose of initiating and continuing positive relationships and growth in improving student achievement and closing the gap.

Serves as a resource to schools, departments, staff and families to respond to requests for information and support to work through issues and conflicts as they occur; provides follow-up for schools, departments, staff and families on progress and/or planned activities to address inquiries and/or issues; checks back and asks for feedback on responsiveness and effectiveness of resolutions, including activities, and training.

Directs the development of assigned budget(s); ensures expenditures of approved budget are in conformance with budget allocations, District fiscal procedures, and state and federal fund source regulations; seeks alternate funding sources and develops resource acquisition projects. Coordinates parent and community involvement in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of equity and compliance areas and delivery model; recruits members for, serves on and supervises the organization of committees; represents the District on committees, task forces and councils, as assigned; serves as a liaison with community, business, funding source foundations that impact student services; communicates innovations to the general community.

Supervises the Analyst, Equity and Compliance and maintains adherence to and compliance with existing district programs and policies that uphold local, state, and Federal Laws and mandates including, but not limited to, Equal Employment Opportunities programs, the Florida Educational Equity Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, etc. Complies with all District policies, state and federal guidelines, and legal mandates related to providing services for students; works with the state and other government offices to ensure annual compliance requirements related to provision of instructional services and support, fiscal accountability, and other requirements mandated by categorically funded programs; oversees office efforts to work with central and building staff on a variety of compliance issues, as related to area of assignment.

Participates in ongoing training to further District goals related to improving cultural equity and excellence and to enhance personal professional skills; maintains currency on practices and research in assigned area(s); maintains state-of-the-art expertise in school district/public organization administration, leadership, and service delivery; establishes competency goals for self and staff in area(s) of assignment and to enhance development of professional development training standards.
