Position Summary Under limited supervision, the Senior EMI/EMC Test Engineer will collaborate with Hardware Engineering and Program Technical Lead to bring advanced Satellite Communications products and systems to market.

This position is responsible for product reliability and certification testing, including but not limited to product regulatory requirements such as EMC, Homologation and Safety. The duties of a successful team member include Proof of Design, Risk Mitigation, Proof of Manufacturing, Qualification and Engineering test on operating and non-operating hardware. Responsibilities Self-manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

Interact professionally with intracompany organizations including but not limited Test Engineering, Hardware & Software Engineering, and Mechanical CAD Work independently or with specific direction, as required Provide risk assessments based on design concepts or models, and development of design enhancements to address product deficiencies prior to confidence and formal qualification testing Review drawings, sketches, parts lists, specifications, mock-ups, and products to integrate with a test fixture required Write test plan procedures, report, and contractual (e.g.

Contractual Data Requirement List (CDRL) documents, in Microsoft Word according to project data item descriptions (DIDS) provided by Government organizations or formatting defined by Customer and/or Comtech document guidelines Report, track and monitor product performance, capabilities, and defects to facilitate product improvements Maintains records and files of documentation When necessary, travel to local and out of state Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL) to conduct product compliance and reliability testing, including equipment operation/ debug Qualifications Experience with lab equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, ESD gun, RF Power Amplifiers, Transient and Surge Generators, Signal Generators, Data Loggers, Power Analyzers, Hipot, Ethernet Traffic Generators, and other EMC and Safety test equipment.

Experience with antennas including biconical, log-periodic and horn. Experience with Environmental test standards for Commercial, Military and Aerospace applications including but not limited to MIL-STD-461G, IEC 60068 and IEC 62368-1 Experience with Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) test standards for Commercial, Military and Aerospace applications including but not limited to DO-160, IEC 55032/24 and FCC Part 15 An understanding of Product Safety Standards such as IEC 60950-1, IEC 62368-1, and MIL-STD-822 Previous work experience as a test engineer for a NRTL or third-party test organization such as UL or TUV a plus Hands-on experience troubleshooting radiated and conducted emissions, immunity, mechanical design
