Job Description Senior Manager, Recovery Akiba Commercial Bank PLC Position: Senior Manager, RecoveryBased in: Dar es Salaam Responsible for developing and implementing recovery strategies, managing non-performing assets, maximizing recoveries, minimizing credit losses, and ensuring effective arrears management while leading a high-performing recovery team. The role Develop and implement recovery strategies, policies, and processes.

Drive achievement of recovery targets and enhance recovery performance. Manage and monitor non-performing and impaired credit facilities. Recommend and implement appropriate recovery actions, including restructuring, settlements, litigation, and asset realization. Supervise debt collectors, auctioneers, and the Recovery team to ensure optimal performance. Prepare recovery plans, portfolio reports, and management updates.

Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards. Identify recovery risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures. Qualifications and Experience Performing any other duties as may be delegated or assigned from time to time. The candidate Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years’ banking experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.

Proven experience in credit recovery, distressed asset management, and loan restructuring. Strong knowledge of credit risk management, recovery strategies, and relevant legal frameworks. Excellent analytical, negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
