Role: Modern IT requires networks that are secure, automated and available at all times. We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer who combines classic infrastructure with cloud networking, security and automation and further develops technically demanding environments. Responsibilities: Engineering and further development of high-performance network platforms Building and optimising secure connectivity between sites, data centres and cloud platforms Implementation of modern network architectures for hybrid and cloud-based IT landscapes Planning and realisation of network and security migrations Integration of firewall, SD-WAN, VPN and cloud networking solutions Ensuring availability, performance and fault tolerance of critical network components Development of standardised solutions for recurring infrastructure requirements Automation of network processes using Python, Ansible or comparable technologies Use of infrastructure-as-code and DevNet methods for more efficient provision of network services In-depth troubleshooting of complex network and security incidents Technical support of customer projects from requirements analysis to handover to operations Evaluation of new technologies and active shaping of future network strategy Technical advice on the selection and introduction of new platforms Qualifications: Several years of professional experience in network engineering with a focus on enterprise networking Very good knowledge of routing, switching, firewalling and network security Experience with modern cloud networking concepts Confident handling of complex network architectures and highly available environments Practical knowledge in at least one area such as SD-WAN, SASE, Zero Trust or network automation Experience with automation, for example Ansible, Python or REST APIs Very high technical understanding and strong analytical skills Initiative and enthusiasm for further developing technical standards Willingness to take on responsibility in demanding projects Expert-level certifications are welcome but not mandatory with correspondingly strong practical experience Benefits: Home office Experienced and dynamic team Interesting and varied tasks/projects Flat hierarchies Participation in or provision of company car ROCKEN Jobs: https://rocken.jobs Create profile: https://rocken.jobs/application/profil-erstellen/ Work location Zurich Contact Joshua de Boers, +41443852112
