Job at a glance
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead on our Data as a Service (DaaS) capabilities within the IQ Health team, with common services and modernised workflows also in your remit. DaaS is the primary focus. You will own how IQ Health exposes healthcare data as governed, reusable and commercially viable data products and services that other teams and customers build on. This is a data-led, platform-oriented role for someone who operates with real autonomy, is genuinely comfortable running their own user research, and brings strong AI-enabled ways of working.
This is a hybrid role based out of our York or Birmingham office, with the expectation that the successful candidate will attend the office weekly or monthly as required. Own the roadmap and delivery for IQ Health's Data as a Service (DaaS) capabilities, treating data as a set of governed, reusable products rather than one-off extracts. Define the DaaS product model, including what data products exist, how they are accessed through APIs and services, and how they are consumed by internal teams and external customers.
Own data access, interoperability and standards for these capabilities, working towards consistent, standards-based data exchange, for example FHIR, across the portfolio. Own data governance, quality and safe use for DaaS in a health context, including UK GDPR and Caldicott principles, working with clinical and information governance colleagues. Shape the commercial model for data services, connecting DaaS capabilities to value and to the FY27 product-gated bookings.
Own common services and modernised workflows alongside DaaS, making sure they draw on and reinforce the same foundation rather than duplicating it. Run your own discovery, including hands-on user research with the teams and customers who consume data products, to validate demand before building. Write clear, precise requirements and acceptance criteria that hold up in an AI-assisted delivery environment, where vague specs produce confidently wrong output.
Design and evaluate AI-enabled features responsibly, including safe and governed AI use of DaaS as a data source. Prioritise using objective data on usage, value and risk, and contribute to commercial planning and bookings for the area. Proven experience leading products end-to-end at a senior level Strong background in data products, data platforms or Data as a Service (DaaS) Good understanding of APIs, data services and interoperability standards such as FHIR Knowledge of data governance, data quality, UK GDPR and Caldicott principles Experienced in user research, requirements gathering and prioritisation Familiarity with health technology or other regulated environments Strong AI literacy, including prompt engineering, evaluating outputs and responsible AI delivery Experience of data platform growth, healthcare data standards and commercial models for data services is advantageous Please note, all applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application.
