IQ is OneAdvanced’s intelligent, AI-enabled product experience, bringing together customer data, usage insights, memory and personalisation to help customers get more value from the products they use. In this role, you will own the development of native research and analytics capability within IQ, delivered through a phased transition alongside the existing external tools: Pendo for product analytics and Condens for research repository and synthesis.

You will also own the customer-facing capabilities built around usage, consumption, memory and personalisation, working closely with the Principal PM, IX & Mobile, wherever these connect to the core experience. The role has a dual mandate: build OneAdvanced’s own insight capability and extend that capability to customers, enabling them to use their own usage data to better understand and customise their experience.

This role requires genuine hands-on experience as a customer and user research practitioner, alongside strong product analytics and data capability, with overall accountability for Pendo and organisation-wide research best practice until the transition is complete. This is a hybrid role based out of our Birmingham office, with the expectation that the successful candidate will attend the office weekly or monthly as required.

You will shape how IQ uses customer insight, analytics and personalisation to build better products, while bringing more of these capabilities in-house. Own the phased roadmap to replace Pendo and Condens, including their administration, licensing and eventual retirement. Own IQ’s usage, consumption, memory and personalisation capabilities, working with the Principal PM where they connect to core product surfaces.

Define how customers see and use their own analytics, and establish clear measures for adoption, engagement and personalisation. Set research standards across IQ product teams and personally lead or oversee research for the highest-stakes product decisions. Build the tooling, analytics architecture and governance needed to bring customer insight directly into product planning, working closely with Engineering, Data, Legal, Security and Compliance.

Build business cases for retiring external tooling as native capabilities mature, while coaching PMs to strengthen their research and analytics practice. You will bring a strong combination of hands-on research expertise, product analytics, AI, data and commercial thinking, with the ability to turn insight into better product decisions. Extensive, demonstrable hands-on experience running qualitative and quantitative customer and user research, with a track record of planning, conducting and synthesising studies into product decisions.

Strong knowledge of product analytics, instrumentation and research platforms such as Pendo, Amplitude, Condens or Dovetail, including experience transitioning between tools without losing insight continuity. Strong understanding of personalisation, recommendation approaches and memory in AI-driven products, including the governance considerations of using customer data. Strong data literacy and experience working with Engineering and Data teams on instrumentation, event schemas, analytics architecture, usage data and insight tooling.

Good understanding of data privacy and governance for customer usage and research data, ideally within a regulated or multi-sector environment, alongside commercial awareness of SaaS adoption, engagement and retention metrics. Proven ability to influence and coach PMs outside your direct reporting line, build compelling business cases for change and help teams adopt stronger research and analytics practices.
