Job Title: Senior Project Manager Location: Remote - OR, WA or TXWork type: FieldThe salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, ranging from $128,320 to $160,400.Job Summary The Senior Project Manager will manage engineering and construction activities during the pre-construction and construction phases of new projects and during modifications to existing projects for Avangrid Power.
The Senior Project Manager will provide recommendations on costs, schedules and other factors for construction and operations of proposed or existing energy facilities. He or she will also manage project activities, including budgeted cost, schedule scope, risk management, resources, quality management; during the engineering, procurement, and construction phases of Company's new projects.Responsibilities:Accountable for developing design, procurement and construction contracts during project execution phase.Directs project engineers and construction site managers to ensure that project milestones are met safely, on schedule, and within budget.Responsible for negotiation and management of engineering, procurement, and construction ("EPC") activities.Responsible for owner's project management during project implementation phases on multiple wind, solar and BESS energy projects.Leads a team of professionals who provide technical expertise and project support through design, construction, commissioning and operations.Provides periodic updates to company senior management group on project activities, progress and issues.Develop a safety awareness culture, emphasized at the personal workplace, within project designs and throughout construction and operation.Assists with technical due diligence in conjunction with other departments.Accountable for effective forecasting of Company's capital budget spending on assigned projects.Responsible for providing support to plant operations, including plant and process improvements, equipment acquisition, plant breakdown analysis, and recommending corrective actions.Ensures process feedback mechanisms are implemented and utilized for identifying process efficiencies and improvements, including process and functional quality audits, and focusing on Company strategic initiatives.Responsible for ensuring project closing and handing over to Operations.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related study plus 10 years' experience in project engineering and construction of electric generation projects.5 years' experience in project development or management.Demonstrated oral and written communication, effective negotiating and dispute resolution skills.Proficiency using personal computer tools such as Word, Excel, Primavera P3, and Thermo-flow GT Pro/GT Master.Ability to travel up to 50%PMP Certification from a recognized institution.Preferred Qualifications: A working knowledge of construction law, contracts, claims avoidance, insurance, and contract administration.OSHA certificate.Risk management certification from a recognized institutionNegotiation training/certificate from a recognized institutionBehavioral Competencies: Growth & Continuous ImprovementInitiative & ChangeFocused on ResultsCustomer Centric (internal and/or external)CommunicationCollaborationLeadership (people managers/leaders)#LI-NB1#LI-officeCompany:AVANGRID POWER, LLCMobility InformationPlease note that any applicant who is not a citizen of the country of the vacancy will be subject to compliance with the applicable immigration requirements to legally work in that country.At Avangrid we provide fair and equal employment and advancement opportunities for all employees and candidates regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, protected veteran status or any other status protected by federal, state, or local law.If you are an individual with a disability or a disabled veteran who is unable to use our online tool to sea
