Job Title: Senior Safety and Environmental SpecialistLocation: Richmond, VirginiaStarting Compensation Range: $82,000 - $95,000 per yearWhat You Will Do: Provide on-site inspections in shop and field environments that include auditing facilities and job sites and implementing hazard corrective actions; provide follow up on hazard corrective actionsPerform audits of field technicians that include checks and one-on-one observations of technicians and assessments of behavior in completing job tasksDetermine and implement required Job Safety Analyses and controls for high-hazard tasksGuide CMCO locations in implementation of the EHS work plansEnsure collection and storage of EHS related documentation and trailing recordsExecute activities concerning collection, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste and tracking of emissionsDetermine annual audit scope and location schedule based on independent incident-trend and risk analysisProvide training modules and facilitate on-site training to technicians and managementCreate training and communications content, deliver effective and interactive EHS presentations, workshops, and training programsExhibit advanced proficiency in digital EHS platforms and drive their effective utilization, optimization, and continuous improvement across the organizationCreate content and communicate monthly safety topics to branchesCommunicate triennial forklift evaluation requirements to branchesWork in coordination with team to achieve Continuous Improvement goals and objectivesReview and report on audit results, update programs, and track hazard corrective actionsCompile data and information for analysis of hazard and safety incident trends and develop corporate EHS policy, programs, and standardsRepresent organization during visits with external and internal customers in a variety of meetings to include customer sitesCoordinate annual industrial hygiene sampling for all locations identified by the Safety and Environmental ManagerCoordinate with Safety Coordinator to schedule special safety related training classes (biennial first responder, SafePRO, etc.)Provide support and guidance to all locations to help CMCO achieve its corporate commitment to EHSServe as Carter’s designated representative to OSHA, MSHA, and state environmental agenciesProvide guidance and mentoring to Safety and Environmental Specialist I staff as neededRepresent organization during visits with external and internal customers in a variety of meetings to include customer sitesServe as project manager for all Safety and Environmental initiatives, ensuring projects are planned, executed, and completed on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectivesWork in coordination with team to achieve Continuous Improvement goals and objectivesPerform other related duties as assignedWhat We’re Looking For: Minimum of four years occupational safety and health experienceExperience leading others in achieving environmental, health,
