Job Description Senior Social Worker - Disabled Children and Young People As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a pivotal leadership role within our Children and Families Service, providing support, guidance and professional oversight to a dedicated team of Social Workers and Support Workers. You will lead and develop practice that delivers positive outcomes for children and families, supporting them through complex statutory processes including child protection, looked after children services, permanence planning and alternative care arrangements - the team you lead will have a focus on working with disabled children and young people.

You will be confident in providing constructive challenge, nurturing high-quality practice and building strong, collaborative relationships. Knowledge, understanding and experience of supporting disabled children and young people is essential as will a knowledge of utilising Self-Directed Support (SDS) to promote choice for families.
