Senior Test Engineer Automated Testing Lead automated HIL verification using Python and Robot Framework while coordinating a team of Test Engineers in an R&D environment. Senior Test Engineer Automated Testing Job description: As a Senior Test Engineer – Automated Testing, you will develop, execute and document automated product verification tests, improving test efficiency, scalability and compliance with product requirements and quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include: Developing, maintaining and executing automated HIL test sequences using Python and Robot Framework Planning and conducting automated verification campaigns Analysing test results and preparing structured verification documentation Performing root cause analysis for hardware and software-related product issues Maintaining and continuously improving automated test frameworks and environments Coordinating and guiding a team of four Test Engineers Supporting the planning, execution and timely delivery of verification activities Collaborating with Product Engineering, Software Development, Hardware Development and Verification teams Job Requirements Degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences or a related technical discipline, such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Physics 5–8 years of experience in requirements-based product testing, verification, validation or quality engineering Strong experience with modern software development and verification processes At least five years of hands-on experience with Python and Robot Framework Strong experience developing and executing automated HIL test sequences Experience conducting automated verification campaigns and analysing results Strong hardware and software troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills Experience with structured data analysis Knowledge of REST and embedded communication protocols, such as I2C, Modbus or BACnet At least five years of experience with Git, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office and Windows Three to five years of experience working with Linux Three to four years of experience coordinating a small team or working in project management Very good German and English communication skills Nice to Have ISTQB Foundation Level certification Experience with MATLAB and Simulink About the customer: Our client is an established technology company developing innovative hardware and software-based products.
