Server Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC New York, NY Pay: $11.35 per hour + tips Position Overview Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC is seeking experienced, polished, and energetic Servers to join our Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, upscale environment, has strong food and beverage knowledge, and can provide attentive, professional service while maintaining the personality and energy of the Gansevoort brand.

Responsibilities Provide warm, professional, and attentive service to all guests. Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system. Maintain strong knowledge of menus, ingredients, preparation methods, beverages, and current offerings. Make recommendations and utilize suggestive selling and upselling techniques. Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests. Maintain assigned tables and sections throughout service.

Process guest payments accurately and follow all cash-handling procedures. Communicate effectively with the kitchen, bar, management, and other Food & Beverage team members. Assist Servers, Bussers, Runners, Hosts, Bartenders, Baristas, and other team members as operationally necessary. Support restaurant service, private events, special events, activations, rooftop operations, pool service, and other Food & Beverage operations as assigned and appropriately trained.

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment. Perform additional duties as assigned based on operational needs. Qualifications Previous serving experience in a high-volume, upscale, fine-dining, luxury hotel, or similar hospitality environment preferred . Strong customer service, communication, and active listening skills. Strong food and beverage knowledge or the ability and willingness to learn.

Ability to accurately explain menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage selections. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and manage multiple tables in a fast-paced environment. POS and payment-processing experience. Professional, dependable, punctual, and team-oriented. Strong suggestive selling and upselling skills. Ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional under pressure.

Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays . Physical Requirements Candidates must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, move quickly and safely throughout the property, carry trays, and regularly lift, carry, push, pull, or move up to 30 pounds.
