Job FunctionManages all administrative logistical details for all outbound shipments processed by outside carriers and internal Fleet.Manages all logistical details for all outbound domestic and international export shipments done by outside carriers and Freight ForwardersObtains quotes and selects vendors for freight and freight forwarding servicesCoordinates with Internal and External contacts on shipmentsInvestigates and resolves customers issues pertaining to shipping or paperworkExamines, prepares and administers documents such as invoices, bills of lading and shipping statementsEnsures accuracy and integrity of shipments and packaging to ensure timely deliveriesMaintains compliance with ITAR and other governmental regulationsShipping material by FedEx and UPSFiles all freight claims for damaged goods and tracks them on a weekly basis.
Resolves disputes.Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.Required SkillsMust be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and ExcelSolid math skillsStrong communication skillsStrong problem-solving skillsKnowledge of UPS and FedEx softwareAbility to read and write in EnglishUnderstanding of ITAR and government regulations preferredExperience in tracking international shipments is a plusForklift/Side-loader Certification preferredMust be able to pass drug and background1-2 Years of related experience, preferredEEO/Disabled/VeteransAMI Metals, Inc.
