Job Description Skills Coach - Multi-Trades Hours: 35 hours per week, full time post Fixed term end date: 31 July 2028 Salary: DA9, £37,914 - £41,133 per annum Location: The Rossie Young People's Trust, Montrose Dundee and Angus College and The Rossie Young People's Trust have developed a Skills & Employability Partnership aimed at improving outcomes for young people who face significant barriers to education, employment and progression.

As part of the continued development of this partnership, we are now seeking a motivated and industry-experienced Skills Coach who has hands-on experience with basic trades skills and maintenance experience such as, joinery, bricklaying, or mortar mixing in a DIY, grounds maintenance, plumbing or general building context to support young people in developing practical trade skills, confidence and employability.

This role will involve working with young people from a range of backgrounds, including those with disrupted education experiences or those who require additional support to engage in education, training or employment pathways. You will deliver engaging, hands-on learning activities and skills development experiences within a practical workshop and training environment. You will inspire and motivate young people while creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.

The successful candidate will have relevant industry experience. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and possess the ability to build trusting relationships with young people.
