Learn more at Slalom.com.OverviewWe are seeking a senior Commercial Banking Domain Expert to support a large-scale lending transformation program for a leading global financial institution.
This role will serve as a trusted advisor, bringing deep expertise across the commercial lending lifecycle to help redesign business processes, operating models, and lending capabilities on a modern technology platform.The ideal candidate combines extensive hands-on experience in commercial, corporate, or institutional banking with a strong understanding of how lending processes translate into workflow, governance, data models, and platform design.
This individual will partner closely with business leaders, product teams, architects, and technology stakeholders to modernize lending operations while preserving sound banking practices and controls.ResponsibilitiesServe as a subject matter expert across the end-to-end commercial lending lifecycle, including origination, underwriting, credit approval, documentation, closing, funding, servicing, and portfolio management.Advise business and technology teams on commercial lending operating models, governance frameworks, and process optimization.Translate lending workflows and credit processes into scalable business requirements, data models, and platform capabilities.Support the design and implementation of modern lending platforms, including Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and related lending technologies.Define and improve governance processes related to delegated authority, approval workflows, documentation controls, exception management, and covenant monitoring.Facilitate working sessions with senior stakeholders, product owners, architects, and engineering teams to align business objectives with platform capabilities.Ensure lending processes support downstream portfolio management, reporting, syndication, participation, and distribution requirements.Required Qualifications15+ years of experience in commercial, corporate, wholesale, or institutional banking.Deep expertise across the full commercial lending lifecycle, including origination, underwriting, credit approval, documentation, servicing, and portfolio management.Experience with complex credit products such as syndicated lending, project finance, infrastructure finance, structured finance, or large commercial credit facilities.Proven experience leading lending transformation initiatives, operating model redesign, or implementation of commercial lending platforms.Strong knowledge of Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, nCino, or similar commercial lending technologies.Ability to communicate effectively with executive leaders, credit officers, and cross-functional stakeholders.Strong understanding of banking controls, governance, regulatory expectations, and operational best practices.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with development finance institutions, multilateral banks, export credit agencies, or government-sponsored lending organizations.Knowledge of loan operations, credit administration, covenant management, servicing transitions, and related platforms such as LoanIQ or ACBS.Experience supporting cross-border l
