An exciting opportunity has arisen at Central London Community Healthcare to join our Early Years Speech and Language Therapy team. This is a 10-month fixed-term position offering part-time hours of 15 hours (2 days) per week -term time only. We are seeking an experienced, innovative and passionate SLT to work in partnership with the North and South inclusion team in educational settings to adopt a 'whole system, needs-led' approach for children with SLCN.

The SLTwill be one day with the north team and one day with the south team. The new post holder will support with environmental audits at settings and universal packages which provides evidence-informed strategies to strengthen high-quality adult-child interactions that support communication, learning, and early brain development., o Provides support to upskill PVI settings and childminders to support SLCN early identification and intervention.

o Incorporates coaching and support for parents and carers to facilitate support for children's early SLCN development at home. o Provides on-site SLCN training and advice/support, to upskill EY practitioners, increasing confidence in early identification and SLCN support through drop ins and on-site coaching. o Act as the main reference point for the day-to-day delivery and management of the universal and targeted speech and language therapy service provided across North and South Hammersmith and Fulham inclusion team.

Successful applicants will be required to demonstrate alignment with the Trusts values & the behaviours aligned to those values - Accountability, Inclusion, Compassion, and Empowerment, alongside fulfilling the duties detailed in the attached Job Description and Person Specification., First degree and Licence to Practise from the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists Current registered membership of HCPC and RCSLT, Postgraduate experience in working with children in Early Years (must have successfully completed NQP year) Experience of supporting children, families and schools in line with the Children and Families Act 2014 including contribution to statutory assessments (Education Health and Care Plan Needs Assessments), contribution to the annual review process and delivery of SLT provision as specified in Education health and Care Plans (EHCPs) Collaborative work with parents and other professionals Training others, Good Team working Deal with Conflict and good problem solving skills Sensitive to others' issues/differing needs Well developed concentration skills Good auditory discrimination skills and ability to transcribe speech phonetically Manual dexterity sufficient for signing and use of high and low technological assessments IT literate and ability to use a range of specialist programmes Able to maintain prolonged concentration in order to assess the speech, language and communication skills of pre-school children using formal and informal assessments Organise own caseload Normal Child Development including Speech and Language, Play and other milestones Good working knowledge of appropriate range of assessments and interventions for preschool aged children with Speech, Language and Communication impairments and an ability to compare and contrast relative benefits to individual children Understanding and application of Education Practice and Policy including the Children and Families Act 2014 Religious, Cultural and Linguistic issues impacting upon caseload management Awareness of national policies and procedures (relevant to the Early Years Knowledge of the principles of audit Good understanding of the roles of other professionals (relevant to the client group) Up to date knowledge of professional standards of record keeping Holistic view of communication problems and philosophy to back this, Good Team working Deal with Conflict and good problem solving skills Sensitive to others' issues/differing needs Well developed concentration skills Good auditory discrimination skills and ability to transcribe sp
