This is a customer-facing role, taking customer orders and serving food whilst strictly adhering to high standards of food hygiene. You’ll enjoy both the catering and customer service aspects of the role. No two days are the same, so you will need to adapt, be flexible in your approach, and capable of multi-tasking. You will be working in a time-pressurised environment and will be used to working to high standards.

Responsibilities Tea & coffee preparation & delivery for functions within the business, creating homemade cakes for special functions Hot counter food service Preparation of sandwiches & salads Cooking/baking of goods Sorting, clearing, stacking, and washing all crockery, cutlery, and food trollies utilizing the dishwasher Till operation Filling & cleaning of vending machines Buffet, salad & breakfast item preparation Regeneration of multi-portion trays General cleaning duties – attendees will attend annual COSHH training Collecting deliveries and moving from pallets onto trolleys for transportation to the kitchen; lifting boxes from stockroom onto trolleys to replenish vending machines Maintaining good hygiene practices, including a clean and tidy appearance, correct uniform, safety shoes, and reporting accidents to ensure a safe working environment Observing correct till system procedures and keeping accurate records Flexible attitude and willingness to carry out any other similar duties as necessary About You Essential: Team working experience Experience in a customer-facing role Previous catering experience Kitchen experience Knowledge of food handling Customer service ethos Desirable: Certificate in food safety NVQ in Professional Cookery Company Benefits Competitive salary - accredited Living Wage employer 25 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays, with options to purchase up to 5 additional days Discretionary annual bonus scheme Pension scheme - employer matched contributions up to 4% Life assurance scheme worth at least 1x annual salary Subsidised canteen Free parking Free turkey or voucher at Christmas Petito perks scheme including salary sacrifice options and retail discounts Our Values As a family-owned business, we take pride in making a real difference and creating outstanding meals.
