Our newly constructed senior living community is preparing for its grand opening, and we’re looking for an experienced Staffing & Scheduling Coordinator who understands the complexities of employee scheduling and workforce planning in a 24/7 environment.
This is more than filling open shifts. You’ll use staff scheduling software such as OnShift, strong critical thinking, and knowledge of employee availability and staffing requirements to build effective schedules, respond strategically to call-offs and changing needs, and minimize unnecessary overtime while maintaining appropriate coverage. Just as important, you’ll build strong relationships with employees and department leaders.
By understanding the needs of both the operation and our team members, you’ll help find staffing solutions that support reliable coverage, employee engagement, and exceptional resident care. YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and maintain 24/7 employee work schedules using OnShift, proactively ensuring appropriate staffing coverage and responding to call-offs, approved time off and changing operational needs Apply sound judgement and critical thinking to balance staffing requirements, employee availability, equitable distribution of hours and labor costs while minimizing overtime and contract labor Build collaborative relationships with employees and department leaders to anticipate staffing needs, resolve scheduling challenges and communicate schedule changes effectively Coordinate new hire training schedules and assist with the employee orientation and onboarding process Provide administrative support for payroll, time and attendance, department supplies and related workforce records including data entry and use of ADP.
