Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Location Not specified Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Thursday to Monday, Day Shift, 5×8-Hour (07:00 – 15:30) Job Description The Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) is responsible for the sorting, cleaning, packaging, and sterilization of items used throughout the hospital. Under the general supervision of the Shift Supervisor, the technician also maintains instruments, pans, trays, and related items for sterilization.

Responsibilities Sort and clean surgical instruments and medical equipment. Package and sterilize items according to established procedures. Maintain accurate records and label items appropriately. Ensure the proper functioning of sterilization equipment and perform regular checks. Assist in the maintenance of inventory and supplies. Adhere to safety and sterilization protocols in the Operating Room.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Must be a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) issued by IAHCSMM or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) issued by CBSPD. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required. High school diploma or GED required; successful completion of an approved central processing course is preferred. Knowledge of Operating Room instrumentation and sterilization procedures.
