Key Responsibilities: Manage daily stores operations, including receiving, storing, issuing and dispatching stock. Maintain accurate stock records, inventory reports and supporting documentation. Control electrical materials, tools, equipment, consumables and project-related stock. Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors and suppliers to ensure materials are available when required. Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels.
Report stock shortages, damages and discrepancies promptly. Supervise stores personnel and maintain strong housekeeping standards. Ensure compliance with stores procedures and health and safety requirements. Maintain effective systems for stock security, traceability and accountability. Assist with stock audits, cycle counts and the reconciliation of variances. Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification.
Relevant stores, warehouse or inventory management experience. Experience within the electrical, construction, engineering or infrastructure sector would be advantageous. Strong knowledge of stock-control, receiving, issuing and inventory-administration procedures. Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and stock-management systems. Ability to understand material requisitions, delivery notes and supplier documentation.
Strong leadership, communication, planning and problem-solving skills. Valid driver’s licence. Willingness to travel according to project requirements. A forklift licence and knowledge of electrical materials would be advantageous. Personal Attributes: Honest, dependable and accountable. Meticulous with strong attention to detail.
