Quick Facts: Location: Madison, WI Start Date: 11/16/2026 End Date: 02/15/2027 Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM; 1:5 call (7:00 AM–7:00 AM) Hours/Week: 50 hours/week Employment Type: Contract (W-2) Licensure/Certs: Wisconsin license, BLS, ACLS, DEA Experience: Minimum 2 years with 1 year as a first assist in CVOR cardiac surgery Pay & Benefits: Hourly Rate: $162.24/hr Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel reimbursement when applicable Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated support team What You’ll Do: Support cardiothoracic surgeons in adult cardiac surgeries Assist with perioperative patient management and procedures Collaborate with surgeons, RNs, and support staff in a high-volume, complex surgical environment Utilize advanced equipment including robotic systems Document procedures in Epic EMR system Participate in call rotations and provide patient care during on-call hours Assist with a variety of cardiothoracic procedures, including complex and high-acuity cases What You Need: Valid Wisconsin state license or ability to obtain one Minimum of 2 years experience as a PA, with at least 1 year as a first assist in CVOR/cardiac surgery Certification: BLS, ACLS, DEA Strong skills in adult cardiac surgical support and patient management About the Assignment: This assignment is with a leading facility in Madison, Wisconsin, specializing in adult cardiothoracic surgery.
