Conduct inspections, assessments, and approvals of marine equipment, components, installations, repairs, and products. Perform independent site visits and surveys across the Yorkshire and Midlands area. Lead surveys involving high-risk or complex activities. Assess engineering assets throughout design, production, and in-service phases. Develop customer-specific cost structures and technical solutions.
Provide specialist technical knowledge and resolve complex engineering issues. Ensure compliance with internal procedures, legislation, accreditation requirements, and industry standards. Support knowledge sharing, mentoring, and continuous professional development. We are looking for a qualified and motivated engineering professional with experience assessing marine equipment and components against industry standards.
The ideal candidate combines solid technical knowledge with commercial awareness, can solve complex engineering challenges, provide leadership and guidance to others, and is comfortable working with minimal supervision while visiting customer sites across the Yorkshire and Midlands region., Degree or equivalent qualification (BEng with MSc or MEng) in a relevant engineering discipline. Membership of a relevant professional institution.
Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership. Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering theory and practical knowledge. Ability to provide technical and commercial leadership. Effective teamworking skills with the ability to work on your own when required. Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to client sites.
