JOB TITLE: Sussex Coach (part-time) DEPARTMENT: Commercial, Football Development, Sussex DIRECT REPORTS: None. LOCATION: Thomas Bennett Community College, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 5AD CONTRACT: Part-time permanent role, 20 hours. Any 6 of 7 days (including 4 evenings) JOB FUNCTION: To deliver safe, inclusive, high quality provision across all activities and provision. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: To deliver safe, inclusive and high quality coaching sessions on a daily basis across all Clubs coaching activities ensuring participants have the best Chelsea experience.
These to include, but not limited to all In and Out of School activity, Player Development Programme sessions and the various programmes delivered during the school holidays and weekends. To deliver on activity to support, develop, engage and enhance relationships with local youth football clubs/schools/organisations/businesses, leisure centres/local authority/The Club. To deliver on any activity deemed appropriate and reasonable by the Line Manager.
To support the wider team by networking and sharing relevant information and opportunities to further enhance the out-reach delivery programme while ensuring financial stability and growth. To carry out duties relevant to legislation and the Clubs policies and procedures. To undertake any Club activity that maybe required in addition to the role. MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE: To deliver coaching sessions across the week at no less than 60% of the contracted hours.
(The 60% does not include travel and set up/down). To ensure efficiencies at all activities and supporting the wider team in financial growth. To be a positive role model, creating a safe, positive, inclusive and fun environment in which to educate, motivate and inspire young people and other participants ensuring they have a positive Chelsea experience. To build robust relationships with both internal and external customers, local schools, clubs, organisations, businesses, governing bodies and authorities.
To help and support CFC Football Development Staff to mentor and guide sessional workers in best practice and professionalism. To sustain and further develop activities through participation growth. PERSON SPECIFICATION: Qualifications: A minimum of the new FA Introduction to Football Coaching qualification. (FA Level 1 is the equivalent qualification) working towards a UEFA C-License. In date FA Safeguarding Children course & the FA Introduction to First Aid in Football certificate.
· Experience: Been involved in grassroots football as a participant and/or coach. Worked as part of a team within a sporting environment. Skills and Behaviours: Good communication and organisation skills. Ability to organise and motivate team members. Confident and outgoing personality. Aims to support and improve staff members. Attention to detail. Reliable and trustworthy. Risk aware and confident in escalating information.
