Tax Senior

Personal tax, but with trusts, planning and proper client contact in the mix. An independent firm of chartered accountants in Brighton is looking for a Tax Senior to join its tax team. The core of the role is self assessment compliance across directors, sole traders, partnerships, landlords and higher net worth individuals. What makes it different is the breadth sitting around it. Trusts and estates, capital gains work, P11Ds, and a steady flow of planning questions you will get involved in rather than hand over.

The role Preparing self assessment, partnership and trust returns Capital gains tax computations, including 60 day property returns P11Ds and employment related benefits Dealing with HMRC correspondence and routine enquiries Helping clients prepare for Making Tax Digital for Income Tax Supporting the directors on planning work and reviewing trainee returns What’s on offer £38,000 to £48,000 depending on experience Full CTA study support including fees, materials and paid study leave Advisory exposure early rather than after three years of compliance Hybrid and flexible working A route to Tax Manager as the team grows Brighton office Open to ATT qualified candidates, those studying CTA, and people qualified by experience with a solid personal tax background.
